My passion is and has always has been all things “Human Resources”.

My first recollection of Human Resources (HR) goes back to my mother’s service in the clothing, textile and apparel industry where I was exposed to the ‘Personnel Manager’ of the factory where my mother worked for more than 40 years. The idea of what a Personnel Manager does became the inspiration for my career and played a key role in my evolution both professionally and personally.

Born in 1972, I am a Generation X female and I embrace and exhibit all that is great from that era. I was raised and schooled in Retreat, a little Southern Suburbs ‘town’ in the Western Cape; matriculated in 1990; completed my B-Tech Degree at CPUT. Since starting my work life in 1994, I have been gaining valuable HR experience across a number of industries including Insurance, Health and Fitness, Retail, Medical, Manufacturing, Advertising and Media.

My HR work experience comes from working in varied HR roles in the private corporate sector up to Senior Management level in health and in media to working as an HR Consultant in a self-employed entrepreneurial capacity where my company provides a range of HR generalist and project management services to a cross range of EME, QME and LE businesses.

My HR experience is underpinned by an ongoing relentless passion for HR.

I am an adaptable, flexible change-agent champion; a transformation visionary; an opportunistic-entrepreneur with a tenacious and resilient bull-by- the horns attitude to change and getting things done whilst also knowing the value of doing it with and through people. My values and ethos is based on delivering a bespoke, innovative HR service on the bedrock of integrity,
confidentiality and respect for the dignity of others. and combined with 20 years of experience in the HR field.

At a strategic level I have been involved in strategy formulation and have also executed and delivered on the strategy at an operational level to achieve transformation and organizational change.

My HR Generalist skills includes recruitment and selection, training and skills development, job evaluation and benchmarking, remuneration and benefits, organizational development, organizational design, payroll, reports and metrics, (Board reports, BBBEE score-carding, EE, WSP,ATR), HR auditing, policy writing, contract writing. Rhens Consulting has been in operation since 2010 and is a 100%, black woman owned Level 1 BBBEE Company.
